Last Wednesday, September 25, Seville hosted the VI Foro Andalucía Investor Day, an event organized by El Confidencial that has established itself as a key meeting point for relevant public and private actors in the region.
The event was attended by Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, president of the Junta de Andalucía.
Throughout the four round tables, focused on the technology, energy, agri-food and defense sectors, the current situation of Andalusia as a reindustrializing axis was widely discussed.
In this context, Grupo Oesía, a Spanish multinational specialized in digital and industrial dual-use engineering, was present to highlight its commitment to the region, identifying it as a strategic point in its activity.
With two headquarters in the autonomous community, one in Cadiz and the other in Seville, Grupo Oesía has consolidated its presence in Andalusia, which reflects its commitment to support the industrial and technological development in the area.
This vision was clear in the intervention of Héctor Roldán, General Manager of the company, during the panel dedicated to the Logistics and Defense industry.
Roldán underlined the value of the Andalusian talent to promote strategic projects, highlighting that Grupo Oesía finds in the region “cutting-edge technological projects and the key talent to develop them”.
He also highlighted the crucial role of the Defense industry as an engine of innovation and technological sovereignty, insisting that this sector is “intensive in research of technologies on which we do not want to have external dependencies”.
The panel also included prominent representatives from both the public and private sectors, who provided valuable perspectives on the future of the industry: Blanca Torrent, First Deputy Mayor and Councilor of Finance of the City of Cordoba; Plácido Puentedura, Director of Customer Service at GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas; and J. Ramiro Martínez de Dios, Director of the Chair of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at the University of Seville.
