  • IDEX is the leading trade fair for the defense sector in the Middle East and North Africa region.
  • The Spanish multinational exhibits its developments in simulation, optronic systems, tactical, secure and satellite communications and photonic technology.

Abu Dhabi, February 19th, 2025. Grupo Oesía, a multinational company dedicated to digital and industrial engineering of dual use, continues with its internationalization strategy with the participation, one more year, in the International Defense Exhibition IDEX 2025, which is being held since February 17th in the
Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

Grupo Oesía exhibits its innovative products, the result of its strong commitment to R&D&I, positioning itself as an international reference company in the development of dual high-tech solutions in complex and highly specialized fields such as simulation, tactical and secure communications, intelligent situational awareness, on-board electronic systems and photonics, a technology with great disruptive potential, which allows to radically improve communication, detection and defense capabilities.

The technological multinational is present as a prominent exhibitor in the Spanish Pavilion, (Hall 12 – Stand B-22) organized by the Spanish Association of Technological Companies of Defense, Security, Aeronautics and Space (TEDAE), and was attended by Lieutenant General Miguel Ivorra, General Director of Strategy and Innovation of the Defense Industry, and the president of TEDAE, Ricardo Martí Fluxa, who had the opportunity to know first hand the most outstanding solutions that Grupo Oesía has brought this year to IDEX.

Oesia Group technologies present in IDEX

In the exhibition area of Grupo Oesía stands out its JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller) simulator with a Pilot Station and emulated military equipment for the execution of CAS (Close Air Support) actions. This is one of the organic elements of the Artillery Simulation Center that is already fully operational for the Emirates Armed Forces, providing them with capabilities to train artillery groups, training their integration with maneuver units and reaching brigade level. These simulators have positioned Tecnobit-Oesia Group as an international reference
in this field.

Other key capabilities presented by the Group at the exhibition are related to tactical communications, an international benchmark for enabling communication between platforms in any scenario and in any mission, under demanding NATO and non-NATO standards of national sovereignty.

In the field of Secure Communications, through Cipherbit-Grupo Oesía, the company presents its multidomain key manager ERMES, which can operate in different operational scenarios (naval, land and air) and NATO, EU and National environments, both tactical and strategic. This equipment can be used to transport and store user keys in a secure way as it receives the keys from a reliable infrastructure and downloads them to the different final equipments.

In the area of Satellite Communications, Inster-Grupo Oesía exhibits its most advanced terminals, such as SGoSat GEO/LEO, an electronically steerable satellite antenna, small and exceptionally light. Other new developments such as the SGoSat UPRo terminal for mobile communications on all types of platforms can also be seen first hand.

Also on display at the Group’s stand is a sample of Optronic Systems such as ORISON, CASTOR and LEDA cameras, which can be integrated into Command and Control, C4I networks and which, combined with radars and other advanced sensors, allow the collection of vital information in real time.

In addition, UAV Navigation, the expert division in guidance, navigation and control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, shows its capabilities in denied GNSS environments, which allow UAVs to complete missions despite being subject to ‘jamming’ or ‘spoofing’ attacks, in execution of collaborative missions between manned and unmanned aircraft (MUM-T), or autonomous flight capabilities, in formation or swarm. Other UAV Navigation products and capabilities such as the VECTOR family of autopilots, the AHRS POLAR navigation systems and the innovative VNS01 Visual Navigation System can also be seen in this space.

SGoSat

Family of SATCOM On The Move (SOTM) terminals for vehicular installation and stable mobile connection

SGoSat is a family of high-tech SOTM (Satellite Comms On The Move) terminals that are installed in a vehicle, providing the ability to target and maintain a stable connection to the satellite when the vehicle is in motion in any type of conditions.

The SGoSat family is composed of versatile terminals, which can be installed on any type of platform: trains and buses, military and/or government vehicles, aircraft, ships, etc. Originally designed for the military sector, SGoSat terminals are extremely reliable and robust, integrating high-performance components that comply with the most stringent environmental and EMI/EMC regulations. The product uses low-profile, high-efficiency antennas and a high-performance positioning and tracking unit, allowing the terminal to be operated anywhere in the world.

In order to meet the diverse needs of its customers, INSTER has developed single band and dual band terminals in X, Ka and Ku frequencies.

The SGoSat family of terminals can also be configured with a wide range of radomes (including ballistic options) to suit customer requirements.
