The INSPIRE project coordinated by Tecnobit, “TRANSVERSAL INTEGRATED PHOTONICS AS A DEEP TECH TRANSFORMER FOR STRATEGIC INDUSTRIES”, has been subsidized by the CDTI and supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. It belongs to the PERTE Chip 2023 Missions call, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and its mission is to develop and strengthen an integrated photonics ecosystem in Spain.
INSPIRE aims to cooperate in the industrial research of the main photonic technologies, in a transversal and integrated way. The consortium formed by TECNOBIT SL, VLC PHOTONICS SL, MULTIVERSE COMPUTING SL and ZEPREN SOLUTIONS SL will allow Spain to lead a large public-private initiative in the field of photonic integrated circuits (PICs, Photonic Integrated Circuits), achieving the technological objectives and backbone of the call.
The CORSARIO project coordinated by Inster and in which Tecnobit also participates, “RESILIENT SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS FOR INTEGRATED AND OPERATIONAL ROTATING WINGS”, has been subsidized by the CDTI and supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. It belongs to the call Aeronautical Technology Program 2023, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and specifically, to the category of Communications and Mission Systems.
The main objective of the project is the development of a Ka-band SATCOM satellite communications system or DSA (Deep Space Antenna) terminal for rotary-wing aircraft, equipped with a new distributed antenna technology with ESA electronic pointing and focused on connections with geostationary orbit (GEO) satellites, which will increase the communication and control capabilities of rotary-wing aircraft, while reducing their environmental impact.
The project consortium is formed by INSTER TECNOLOGIA Y COMUNICACIONES SA, AIRBUS HELICOPTERS ESPAÑA SA, ANZEN AEROSPACE ENGINEERING SL and TECNOBIT, S.L.
The project INVESTIGACIÓN DE NUEVAS TÉCNICAS DE FABRICACIÓN ADITIVA Y ROBÓTICA PARA SISTEMAS DE COMUNICACIONES DIGITALES EMBARCADOS EN VEHICULOS CONECTADOS O AUTÓNOMOS (EXP. 2021/C005/00148124) has been funded by the Government of Spain and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the public business entity Red.es, within the framework of the Strategic Action for Digital Economy and Society of the State Program for R&D&I oriented to societal challenges in the 2021 Call for grants for research and development projects in artificial intelligence and other digital technologies and their integration into value chains (C005/21-ED).
The project consists of the research of different technologies to define a concept of a low weight, small size and low power consumption broadband satellite communications terminal. This terminal will provide global connectivity, also in areas without any type of telecommunications infrastructure, to vehicles or aerial platforms in which this type of terminals cannot be installed due to their size, high weight and consumption. The main
lines of action will be the following:
– Research into new additive manufacturing techniques to achieve highly efficient antennas, which reduce the terminal’s energy consumption, and low weight, allowing them to be installed in small vehicles or aerial platforms with limited payload capacity.
– Research of new robotic technologies that allow satellite tracking in any kind of mobility conditions, or flights in unfavorable conditions, with maximum precision and using low-cost elements.
The investment project “IMPROVEMENTS IN THE ELECTRONIC CARD PRODUCTION LINES AT THE TECNOBIT FACILITIES IN VALDEPEÑAS”, executed by Tecnobit at the Valdepeñas facilities, has been the object of financing within the framework of the 2019 call of the REINDUSTRIALIZATION AND COMPETITIVENESS FORMATION PROGRAM OF THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY, COMMERCE AND TOURISM (file number RCI-040000-2019-94).
Investment project in machinery and facilities has been funded under the 2018 Call of the Reindustrialization and Strengthening of Industrial Competitiveness Program of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
