Grupo Oesía and the Polytechnic University of Madrid create a chair on Talent and Technological Innovation.

Madrid, May 6, 2024 – Oesía Group, leader in technological and digital engineering, has presented a chair on “Talent and Technological Innovation” together with the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). The presentation ceremony of this initiative took place at the Rectorate of the UPM with the presence of Guillermo Cisneros, rector of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Agustín Yagüe, director of the School of Computer Systems Engineering, Luis Furnells, executive president of Grupo Oesía, and Eva Cornide, director of Corporate Talent and Culture of the Group.

The creation of this chair represents an important milestone for Grupo Oesía because it strengthens its position as a key entity in the promotion of young talent. The chair will be held at the School of Computer Systems Engineering of the UPM.

The main objective of this chair on Talent and Technological Innovation is to collaborate in the generation of knowledge, teaching and knowledge transfer in key disruptive technologies, such as avionics and satellite communications, among others. In addition, as part of the same, scholarships will be awarded to the best academic records and work will be done to promote excellence and hyperspecialization in the technological field.

The participation of Grupo Oesía within the Chair will be focused, among other aspects, on the University Master in Distributed and Embedded Systems Software of the UPM, where the contents will be analyzed and complemented with specific aspects of interest for the industrial business.

Planned training activities include cooperation in the development of training programs on relevant topics for professionals and undergraduate and graduate students of the UPM, organization of complementary academic activities, sponsorship of studies through scholarships and support for doctoral theses and final projects, as well as awards for technical work, conferences, workshops, technical seminars and expert meetings, among others.

The chair on “Talent and Technological Innovation” will allow the students to put in value the knowledge acquired in different degrees of the UPM, as well as the teaching and research staff to continue developing their research activities in collaboration with Grupo Oesía, an important Spanish multinational company in the field of technological and digital engineering”.
