Abu Dhabi, January 24, 2022Oesia Group, continuing with its strategy of hyper-specialization and international positioning of its products and services, participates actively in the 6th edition of the fair UMEX – SimTEX 2024, which takes place from January 23rd to 25th in the United Arab Emirates.

This exhibition focuses on two areas in which Grupo Oesía has qualification and experience, the unmanned systems (UAVs) and the simulation and training.

This year’s edition, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), has a record participation (214 exhibitors) of major specialized companies from the region and globally.

Grupo Oesía has received in its stand this Tuesday January 23rd the visit of the delegation of the Spanish Embassy headed by its ambassador His Excellency. Iñigo de Palacios and Mr. Andrés Salinero (Trade and Economic Counsellor), as well as several members of the UAE Armed Forces.

The visitors have been able to know first hand some of the Simulation products that have placed Tecnobit – Grupo Oesía as an international reference in this field, such as the Simulator for Evaluation (SPECTRE), which allows to monitor the stress level of the pilots thanks to artificial intelligence and virtual reality or the JTAC simulator (Joint Terminal Attack Controller) which consists of Pilot Station and emulated military equipment for the execution of CAS (Close Air Support) actions.

The Spanish technology company is also exhibiting a mock-up of the future AEREO SGoSat GEO/LEO terminal of Inster-Grupo Oesía, with an electronically steerable, small and exceptionally light satellite antenna. These terminals are being developed by Inster-Grupo Oesía under the CORSARIO project of CDTI, together with Airubus Helicopters, Anzen and Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía.

Likewise, through its subsidiary UAV Navigation, it presents its guidance, navigation and control (GNC) systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, which are characterized by their enormous robustness and reliability and which provide intelligence and autonomy to a wide range of Class I and II (NATO classification) UAVs/UAS/RPAS from aerospace manufacturers around the world. In addition to its VECTOR and AHRS POLAR family of autopilots, the hyper-specialized company is presenting at this fair its VNS01, the Visual Navigation System that allows the reduction of the error inherent to inertial navigation and improves the system’s capabilities in operations where the GNSS signal has been degraded or denied.

Artillery Simulator of Tecnobit-Oesia Group for the Emirates Armed Forces.

In simulation and training, Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía’s technology is recognized for its long international trajectory: the Field Artillery Simulator (SIMACA) in Spain, with more than 22 years active, the Fire Support Simulator (SIMAF) in Brazil, considered the largest military simulator in Latin America, and the new artillery simulator for UAE, which provides the UAE Armed Forces with a capacity they did not have before, offering technical and tactical training of maximum precision.

The success obtained in this last contract, which has been delivered on time and with total customer satisfaction, positions Tecnobit-Oesia Group to continue offering its solutions and capabilities in simulation. It also creates excellent prospects for other areas in which the technology has become an international benchmark, such as tactical and secure communications, cybersecurity, intelligent situational awareness and embedded electronic systems.

SGoSat

Family of SATCOM On The Move (SOTM) terminals for vehicular installation and stable mobile connection

SGoSat is a family of high-tech SOTM (Satellite Comms On The Move) terminals that are installed in a vehicle, providing the ability to target and maintain a stable connection to the satellite when the vehicle is in motion in any type of conditions.

The SGoSat family is composed of versatile terminals, which can be installed on any type of platform: trains and buses, military and/or government vehicles, aircraft, ships, etc. Originally designed for the military sector, SGoSat terminals are extremely reliable and robust, integrating high-performance components that comply with the most stringent environmental and EMI/EMC regulations. The product uses low-profile, high-efficiency antennas and a high-performance positioning and tracking unit, allowing the terminal to be operated anywhere in the world.

In order to meet the diverse needs of its customers, INSTER has developed single band and dual band terminals in X, Ka and Ku frequencies.

The SGoSat family of terminals can also be configured with a wide range of radomes (including ballistic options) to suit customer requirements.
