UAV Navigation-Oesia Group enables autonomous navigation without GNSS signal for unmanned vehicles.

UAV Navigation

  • The GNSS-Denied Navigation Kit allows UAVs to complete missions despite being subject to jamming or spoofing attacks.
  • The product, entirely developed by UAV Navigation-Oesia Group, is a sample of the commitment with the excellence of flight solutions of Oesia Group.

Madrid, February 13, 2024. – UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía, recognized leader in navigation solutions for UAVs, has launched its revolutionary GNSS-Denied Navigation Kit. This innovative solution is designed to operate in environments with no GNSS signal, enabling robust navigation in challenging situations.

This product is presented as an unprecedented response to customer and market needs. In today’s complex geopolitical context, reliable and safe navigation of unmanned aerial systems is essential. The kit ensures operational integrity in both the civil and defense sectors by countering destabilizing systems designed to interfere with aircraft navigation and communications.

The GNSS-Denied Navigation Kit directly addresses these challenges, offering a robust solution that combines different technologies developed by UAV Navigation-Oesia Group: the POLAR-300 Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) with the advanced VNS01 Visual Navigation System. This powerful integration ensures precise navigation capability with minimal drift, setting new standards for accuracy and stability in difficult situations.

Some highlights of the GNSS-free navigation kit include:

  • High navigation accuracy proven in real flights: Provides accurate navigation without GNSS signal, maintaining error rates as low as 0-1% on distances traveled.
  • Visual technology for an accurate estimation of attitude and position: UAV Navigation-Oesia Group’s innovation is reflected in the GNSS-Denied Navigation Kit, surpassing traditional techniques and offering an innovative solution with visual navigation for accurate and stable flights in challenging conditions.
  • Resistant to anti-drone measures: Equipped with state-of-the-art algorithms, the kit can detect and counter sophisticated ‘spoofing’ and ‘jamming’ techniques, ensuring reliable and safe navigation even in the face of possible interference.

“At UAV Navigation-Oesia Group we understand the current and future demands of customers within the unmanned aviation sector. The GNSS-Denied Navigation Kit is a proof of our dedication to provide innovative solutions that allow our customers to operate in challenging scenarios where GNSS signal is not available”, said Miguel Angel de Frutos, Director and CTO of UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía.

Thanks to its resistance to external interference on the GNSS signal, this kit paves the way to the autonomous navigation of the future.

SGoSat

Family of SATCOM On The Move (SOTM) terminals for vehicular installation and stable mobile connection

SGoSat is a family of high-tech SOTM (Satellite Comms On The Move) terminals that are installed in a vehicle, providing the ability to target and maintain a stable connection to the satellite when the vehicle is in motion in any type of conditions.

The SGoSat family is composed of versatile terminals, which can be installed on any type of platform: trains and buses, military and/or government vehicles, aircraft, ships, etc. Originally designed for the military sector, SGoSat terminals are extremely reliable and robust, integrating high-performance components that comply with the most stringent environmental and EMI/EMC regulations. The product uses low-profile, high-efficiency antennas and a high-performance positioning and tracking unit, allowing the terminal to be operated anywhere in the world.

In order to meet the diverse needs of its customers, INSTER has developed single band and dual band terminals in X, Ka and Ku frequencies.

The SGoSat family of terminals can also be configured with a wide range of radomes (including ballistic options) to suit customer requirements.
