Tecnobit – Grupo Oesía has a trajectory of more than four decades in the Aeronautical, Security and Defense sector. This experience is the basis on which the company’s capabilities for the Space sector are developed, a complex market with high demands that is often at the forefront of important dual-application technological developments. Our on-board electronics systems and components are designed, developed, produced, and maintained in Spain, covering the entire life cycle of the product.

Currently, the traditional approach to space technology, characterized by addressing new products with high costs, long development times and high entry barriers, is undergoing profound changes. New formulas derived from the “New Space” allow reducing time and costs and it is precisely within this framework of action that Tecnobit – Grupo Oesía is already developing some of its most innovative projects.

In 2010, Tecnobit was awarded its first contract in the Space sector to develop and deliver on-board electronics for a space mission. The project aimed at developing the electronic control and power control unit for the antenna of one of the payloads of the Hispasat 36W-1 satellite (previously called Hispasat AG1). It is a telecommunications mission in geostationary orbit operated by Hispasat, whose launch was successful in January 2017. The contract with EADS CASA Espacio (now Airbus), the leading company in the sector in Spain, includes the supply of units of flight and qualification.
